An evolution of the original Mister Chopshop concept, this expansive Surry Hills studio combines industrial materials, layered greenery and hospitality to create a destination rather than simply a barber shop.
brief + design approach
THE BRIEF: Following the success of the Bondi Junction flagship, the client engaged KCreative Interiors to design a larger second location. The brief was to evolve the brand while retaining its distinctive identity, incorporating a barber studio, integrated coffee bar and welcoming spaces for clients to relax and socialise.
DESIGN APPROACH: The established palette of concrete, blackened timber, leather and steel was layered with tropical wallpaper, oversized pendants, hanging greenery and custom timber shelving. The integrated coffee bar and generous waiting areas create a more relaxed, hospitality-led experience.
